A new track that could provide a new site for the HEM
After the plan for La Cité de la Musique was rejected, our school’s activities remain spread over numerous sites. A new pathway is taking shape, however, that could remedy the situation. An opportunity to move into a building belonging to the RTS is currently being studied, and could turn out to be beneficial for both the HEM and other cultural institutions or the wider public.
“The central location of this site will allow us to maintain the synergies with the Orchestre de la Suisse romande (OSR) outlined in the La Cité de la Musique proposal. Moreover, we could make spaces available to it, such as the Grand studio and the Blackbox, and this will be likely to strengthen our collaborations,” notes the HEM’s Director, Béatrice Zawodnik, who also intends to expand the collaborations to other cultural players representing other artistic domains.
