The Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM) participates in the ArtSearCH doctoral program, sponsored by the six art schools of the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland (HES-SO).

The ArtSearCH doctoral program is part of the SACRe-PSL (Sciences, Arts, Creation, Research) doctoral program, an innovative course designed for artists and creators as well as scientists. Created in 2012, the SACRe-PSL doctoral program is the result of cooperation between five French national higher arts schools and the École normale supérieure de Paris (ENS-PSL).
The ArtSearCH doctorate is built around artistic practice and provides a space for reflexivity, research, experimentation, renewal and creation for top-level artists. In line with SACRe's requirements, it involves the creation of works or performance proposals, closely associated with a reflexive approach drawing on a variety of theoretical and scientific fields. It thus brings into play a close articulation of thought and sensibility.

The next SACRe call for applications will go on line on March 20, 2024.
