Learning to play the piano by copying 2/2

The PIANO-COPIE 2 project Learning by copying, a pedagogical tool is a direct extension of the PIANO-COPIE project Le piano ravélien : un apprentissage par la copie, (HEMU - HEM 2015-2016). The experiments carried out during the first project highlighted the different stages in the process of learning by copying. They also highlighted the possibility for students to appropriate the stylistic characteristics and musical discourse of a given style through this process.

The aim of the PIANO-COPIE 2 project is to continue the experiment in order to see if and how the process of learning by copying can be integrated into the teaching of children and teenagers at intermediate to secondary level. The various stages of the learning-by-copying process will be tested and adjusted if necessary.
