Alumni

Looking towards the future, the Haute école de musique de Genève wishes to establish an official alumni network in order to reconnect with you and strengthen the ties with its former students.

As part of a revitalisation initiative launched in 2022, the HEM aims to fully involve its graduates in the life of the institution. Their views, experience and ideas are essential in building a vibrant and inspiring community together.

The HEM is therefore launching a first step: to better understand the expectations of its alumni. The aim? Ultimately, to design a platform and offers that meet the needs of each individual. At the same time, the HEM is updating its contact database in order to maintain links with its alumni and track their progress once they have completed their studies.

By joining this initiative, you are actively helping to shape the future of the HEM alumni network.

Your story matters

At the Haute école de musique de Genève, we believe that a success story can take many different forms. The most visible paths of excellence—such as performing as a soloist or orchestral musician with a renowned ensemble, receiving appointments at prestigious music institutions, or winning prizes at international competitions—are major achievements that we are proud to celebrate. They represent the culmination of deep artistic commitment and rigorous training, and are a testament to the quality of education offered at the HEM.

However, these examples are far from the only ones that reflect the richness of the journeys taken after studying at the HEM. We place just as much value on careers in music education, independent artistic creation, cultural mediation, research, musical entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary projects. Every graduate who actively applies the skills acquired during their studies—whether on stage, in a classroom, leading a project, or working within an institution—contributes to shaping the diverse and evolving story of what a multifaceted musical career can look like today.

In this spirit, we warmly invite our former students to share their journeys with us. Your stories are valuable: they help paint a vibrant and diverse picture of what a high-quality music education can lead to.
