Résumé
This project, a work of both theoretical and practical research, was born of a desire to contribute towards filling the space that separates knowledge - often partial - of the sources and the contemporary musical practice of music from the past. The work aims to re-evaluate the place of vocal and instrumental diminution in the playing of 16th-century polyphonic music, by means of a re-reading of the sources and an original approach of experimentation with the students, centred on the music of Palestrina.
