This research project is aimed at conducting an in-depth analysis of the forms, practices and history of the music patron in Geneva, at a time when the idea of a future music precinct is on the agenda, whose construction would be financed by a private patron, but whose use would be entrusted to the public authority. The project is aimed at defining the original characters involved in music patronage in Geneva, both through the organising of a workshop with researchers specialising in the subject, but also thanks to the collection and archiving of oral testimonies.
