Candidates for admission to the CAS in perfection of instrumental or vocal mastery must hold a diploma or an equivalent qualification at master’s level from a higher school of music. Individuals who do not hold a diploma from a higher school or university may be admitted to the programme if they provide some other kind of proof that they are suitable for it, and if they can provide evidence of significant experience in the field of musical production (concerts, tours, recordings, etc.).

Admission pack
  • the application form for admission to the CAS-DAS 2025-2026, duly filled in;
  • a motivation letter;
  • a portrait-style photo;
  • a CV, which must state all of the candidate’s artistic studies, experience and activity;
  • a list of the pedagogical and/or artistic experiences; copies of degree certificates;
  • references from figures in the world of music or reviews of concerts.
  • a proof that the admissions tax (CHF 80.-) has been paid.

Access to the tests is dependent on a completed pack being submitted.
The admission pack must be sent before 1st March 2025.

Admission test

Admission to the CAS in the perfection of instrumental or vocal mastery at the Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM) works on a competitive basis. Motivation interview

The candidate sets out their motivations during an interview with the jury. He or she must bring with them all the elements necessary in order to get to know and understand their application.
