Project summary :

Use of virtual reality (IVE Immersive Virtual Environment) to train musicians to regulate their emotions during their musical performances in public.

  • Objective: to train, stimulate and characterize the musician's ability to manage Musical Performance Anxiety (MPA) in the context of public performances using virtual reality resources.
  • Method: performances in a virtual space allowing spaces to be managed (size and type of concert hall) and to control the attitudes and reactions of the public.
  • Expected results: an improvement in musicians' abilities to manage their stage fright. A better characterization and analysis of the causes observable in IVE with the aim of developing educational tools oriented on the one hand on the preparation of musical performances and on the other hand on the musical performance itself.
