Workshop Manager: Xavier Plantevin
The metal workshop provides the expertise of professional technicians as well as high-end equipment in the field of metalwork, over an area of 270m². Its purpose is to support student projects and school projects, from design to completion, including the discovery and experimentation of techniques and materials. This workshop offers equipment for metalwork, boilermaking and ironwork for the production of works and assembly pieces in steel, aluminium or stainless steel.
Equipment:
Stationary machines: Profile cut-off saw, sheet metal shear, pillar drill, manual sheet metal roller, manual milling machine, forge, oxyacetylene torch, MIG MAG wire welding machine (aluminium and steel), TIG welding machine, CNC sheet metal roller, CNC plasma cutting table, CNC press brake, CNC metal lathe. Portable power tools: Drills, screwdrivers, hammer drills, jigsaws, grinders, sanders. Hand tools: Complete equipment

Materials:
The metal workshop sells materials and has a large stock: sheets, solid and hollow profiles in aluminium, steel, stainless steel (copper and brass on order)
Operation:
Workshop opening hours: Mon–Thu: 8:30 AM–10:00 PM, Sat: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
Technical team presence: Mon–Thu: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM / 1:30 PM–5:30 PM
Services (advice, appointments, material purchases, small cuts, loans): 8:30 AM–9:00 AM / 1:30 PM–2:00 PM
Student monitor presence: Thu: 5:00 PM–10:00 PM, Sat: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM (weeks: 2025 (48–51), 2026 (11–14))
