Demian Conrad is an artist, designer and researcher.


He is the founder of Automatico Studio, teacher at HEAD Geneva, co-founder of the publishing project DABOOK and the president of the Center for Future Publishing Geneva.

In 2007 he founded his own graphic studio working mainly in editorial design, strategic consultancy, art direction and communication for cultural institutions. The studio won three consecutive awards for the "Best European Poster "(2009-2011). In 2013 the studio won the first prize  of the "European Design Awards". In 2016 the studio won the prestigious Art Director Club Award, and again the Best European Poster.

Some of his works are held in collections such as the Museum of Design in Zürich, the Chaumont archive and some private collectors. In 2012 the studio participated  in the exhibition "100 Years of Swiss Graphic Design" at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich. 

He is currently teaching Editorial Design at HEAD (Haute Ecole d’Art et Design) in Geneva focusing on editorial narrative throughout images, and exploring the role of new technology in the shaping of new languages.

He is currently developing a research laboratory in collaboration with the HEAD school in Geneva. The Center for Future Publishing is a space of intersection between technology and design, a place to push the boundaries of the Post Digital Publishing.

Demian Conrad has been invited  to the Board Consultants for the project "Creative Hub" for the promotion of Swiss design economy. Demian Conrad is currently in the Advisory Board of « Depôt Basel » a cultural design gallery focused on discursive contemporary design.
