Synopsis
"Ma Yan Chan - Waves of Transition" is shot in Mandalay, the ancient royal capital of Myanmar. Since generations, the porters and their families are living and working at the Ayeyarwady riverbank. In a time of transition, their traditional lifestyle is subdued to lasting transformations. Their illegal housings are threatened to be bulldozed. The authorities intend to dislocate the squatters to several-stored concrete buildings.
