Awards and commitment:

HEAD is also a partner of the Geneva Award, which this year will be presented to the Kourtrajmé collective at a masterclass event featuring Kim Chapiron, Romain Gavras, Toumani Sangaré, Ladj Ly, Nabil Zerf and Yassine Lassar Ramdani on Sunday November 5.
SWAN Charter for parity and inclusion: on the initiative of SWAN (Swiss Women Audiovisual Network), GIFF is about to sign the Charter for Diversity in Cinema and Audiovisual. Anita Hugi, Head of HEAD's Film Department, is the charter's patron and will co-sign alongside Anaïs Emery, GIFF's General and Artistic Director.

The GIFF trophy, designed by students of the Bachelor's program in Product Design, Jewelry and Accessories.
Available in 6 versions, corresponding to the 3 main prize categories awarded each year at the official closing ceremony, the design of the 2023 trophy was proposed by Madeleine Chaumette, then in her 1st year of the Bachelor program. It's made up of metal slats, a reference to screens. They are linked together to create an optical effect that reveals the GIFF logo only to those looking at it from the front. Innovative 3D printing processes were used, a way to emphasize the 2D/3D interplay between the film medium celebrated by the GIFF and the sculpted object rewarding it.

The GIFF
Founded in 1995, the Geneva International Film Festival (GIFF) is Geneva's oldest film festival, and one of the first in the world to include television in its programs. A crossroads of genres and disciplines, a place for experimentation, encounters and festivities, every year for ten days it offers films, series, interactive installations and immersive experiences to some 50,000 festival-goers. As Switzerland's largest space dedicated to the immersive arts, GIFF has become one of Europe's leading events.

At the heart of the event is the Geneva Digital Market, a unique event in Switzerland dedicated to audiovisual innovation. Image professionals, industrialists and theoreticians from all over the world meet, debate and exchange ideas on what makes up today's audiovisual world and what will run through it tomorrow.

See you on November  3 to 12 2023 for the 29th edition!
