The Image-Sound Pool is a space for audiovisual creation open to all departments of HEAD – Geneva. We offer courses, workshops, and technical training for audio, video, interactive, and animation projects (stop-motion, 2D, and 3D). We support students by providing technical and conceptual guidance, access to workstations within specialized facilities, as well as professional equipment to help bring their projects to life.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND EQUIPMENT:
- Classroom A S1.11 (Video Sound Workshop): equipped with a 16-speaker and 2 subwoofer ambisonics sound system for immersive audio diffusion. It includes 10 workstations and one master station, all equipped with MaxMSP and Ableton Live for multichannel audio and video projection. A mixing console is available to manage and control sound diffusion.
- Classroom A S3.01 (Greybox): designed for multichannel video projection. Equipped with three wide-angle projectors allowing the projection of 1 to 3 video channels, a quadraphonic sound system, and a Mac Pro with MadMapper.
- Classroom A S3.04 (Voice Studio): dedicated to recording voice-overs and podcasts (up to 4 people).
- Classroom A S21 (Sound Studio): dedicated to sound creation and mixing in Dolby Atmos format (9.1.4). It offers a variety of specialized software and plugins (Ableton Live, AVID Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Waves, GRM Tools, Arturia Suite), as well as a modular system, several synthesizers, and powerful interface for sound research and creation.
- Classroom A S12 (Animation Workshop): dedicated to stop-motion and digital 2D/3D animation. The computer workstations are equipped with Wacom tablets and software such as Dragon Frame, Adobe Photoshop, Blender, and TVPaint. Lighting equipment is also available.
- Classroom A S2.01 (Computer Lab): used by the Image-Sound Pool for video courses. It includes computer workstations with Adobe Creative Cloud Pro, a projector for video screening, and a stereo sound system.
