The UPLOAD Biennial is a meeting place dedicated to promoting contemporary graphic design.
Organized by the municipality of Plan-les-Ouates in collaboration with HEAD – Genève, this new cultural event in French-speaking Switzerland affirms a shared desire to support local creativity and anchor graphic culture in the region.

For its first edition, UPLOAD is showcasing graphic design in French-speaking Switzerland. Through a competition, conferences, workshops, and an exhibition featuring a selection of around thirty projects from French-speaking Switzerland, the biennial event offers an overview of contemporary graphic design.
Six categories provide an insight into this thriving creative sector, at the crossroads of print culture and digital practices:
Cultural Identity, Publishing, Typeface Design, Signage/Scenography, Branding, and Cross-disciplinary Projects.

The Biennale is aimed at both professionals in the field and a wider audience curious to understand what lies behind a poster, a book cover, a typeface, or signage. By highlighting graphic design practices, UPLOAD aims to promote designers while opening a dialogue on the role and future of the profession: where does graphic design stand today? What are its challenges, changes, and urgent issues?
