Workshop Creative Coding - Matteo Loglio
How do improvements made in computing and artificial intelligence change the way we perceive and sense the world that surrounds us?
How do these cutting edge and ubiquitous technologies blurry the frontier between the physical and the digital? How do these softwares serving micro automation purposes have an impact in our day to day lives? Moreover, how can we debunk the blackbox of these algorithms to explore the way they operate on us and on our data? Finally, how can we use these creatively; as affordances (and restrictions) for generating new kinds of digital images
These questions are the starting points of this machine learning workshop conducted by Matteo Loglio. Using the Runaway software enabling designers and artists to quickly prototype their ideas and implement deep learning softwares, this workshop resulted in the creation of seven videos. Along these videos, new graphical representations and outcomes unfold; new possibilities created by the algorithm operating in dialogue with artistic inputs given by students.
