The Pool Photographie is linked to all departments and therefore has a transversal role, defined by the use of photography.
The teaching team offers technical and conceptual photography courses, as well as support for students from different study programmes who do photography. The technical team responds to the needs of students (studio shooting) and is responsible for covering the school’s events and projects.
Whether moving from screen to paper, or working in a digital format, the Pool assists students through all the photographic stages and articulates its know-how with, in particular, the Printing and Publishing Pool.
The Pool Photographie assists students with their projects from initial idea to completion.
It aims to:
- pass on basic skills (tutorial programme);
- extend the scope of knowledge through a professional approach;
- follow up projects involving the use of photography;
- reflect on how the work is documented;
- assist candidates for competitions.
The teaching team:
- responds to the demand of students who wish to do photography;
- offers a teaching programme, particularly in the technical field.
The technical team:
- takes photographs of the works as and when available;
- covers school projects and events;
- manages the shooting schedule;
- provides technical support to students.
Infrastructure and equipment:
- 2 fully equipped shooting studios;
- 1 black and white laboratory;
- 1 workroom with calibrated screens and computers for shared use.
