Studio - CLAIR BOIS RESTAURANT

June 2025

Studio led by Alice Dunoyer (Chantier Ouvert)
Assited by Melina Meyer and Marie Schild

The Clair Bois Foundation is an exemplary and innovative organization supporting individuals with multiple and severe disabilities in Geneva. Its primary mission is to provide tailored care for children, adolescents, and adults with complex disabilities who are entrusted to its services. In a warm and welcoming environment, the foundation offers highly dependent individuals attentive, professional support that fosters their development and well-being. It is also committed to offering adapted employment opportunities for people with disabilities, as well as professional training programs for those facing learning difficulties.

Today, Clair Bois operates two restaurants open to both the public and its residents, managed independently in the spirit of any other Geneva-based establishment. These production spaces - restaurants and kitchens - also serve as training environments for individuals benefiting from disability insurance measures and employ numerous staff members in Supported Employment roles.

In this context, the Clair Bois Foundation commissioned HEAD – Genève to collaboratively design an innovative and inclusive dining concept for its future restaurant in Lancy. This project was carried out collaboratively, bringing together diverse expertise around a shared vision rooted in inclusive design principles and a heightened awareness of materials. The aim was to create a spatial and culinary experience in full alignment with Clair Bois’s values. The proposals were part of a broader approach grounded in inclusivity, sincerity, sustainability, resource consciousness, respect, and commitment.
