The scenography for the Défilé HEAD 2025 explores light as a language, a material, and a movement. Conceived as a guiding thread through time, it examines how sunlight, and its shifts in intensity and color from morning to evening, from summer to winter, transforms our perception of clothing and reveals the nuances of the designers’ work.
Designed by Alexis Lang, a Bachelor student in Interior Architecture at HEAD, the scenography places light at the center of the setup while remaining fully in service of the collections.
The project emerged from the 2nd- and 3rd-year studio led by Philippe Rahm and Valentin Calame, where Alexis Lang’s proposal stood out for its immediacy and simplicity.
Imagined as a space in dialogue with the collections, the scenography takes an approach that is both precise and sensitive, using light to accompany the garments without ever overshadowing them. It creates a spectacular yet measured framework, designed to highlight the students’ work while giving it complete visibility. Throughout the show, the lighting gradually evolves, evoking the subtle shifts of daylight and the seasons. This interplay, from the cooler light of summer and midday to the warmer tones of evening and winter, reveals the materials, colors, and richness of the designers’ creations.
The scenography is part of a shared initiative between the Interior Architecture and Fashion, Jewelry, and Accessories departments, where collaboration across disciplines opens new ways of imagining how clothing can be presented.
This approach, at the crossroads of technical precision and emotional sensibility, reflects HEAD’s commitment to fostering dialogue between fashion, space, and light. It embodies the rigor and precision of a project born within the school, highlighting the depth of perspective and constant exploration of its young creators.
