Microlearning consists of designing and delivering short training content, lasting from thirty seconds to two minutes. This type of training is generally associated with mobile learning, the objective of which is to make training accessible regardless of location or time using a smartphone or tablet. Together, micro and mobile learning form M-learning.
In 2020, the HEG Documentary Information program and the HEAD - Genève Visual Communication program joined forces to create MILID (Micro-Learning for Information and Data), a micro and mobile learning program on the theme of information research and the identification of fake news. This mobile application has been distributed to students of the HES-SO.
The objective of the DEMIMO project, which follows the MILID project, is to anchor micro and mobile learning in a sustainable and transversal way in the teaching and continuing education offer of the HES-SO Genève. In order to accompany the integration of these practices, the research team's objective is to share its digital expertise with all teachers at the HES-SO Genève. To do so, several communication and dissemination initiatives will be put in place. They will take the form of practical tools, training sessions and accompanying measures.
