Diploma Projects MA Media Design

November 2024

In the second year of the MA in Media Design in Geneva, students focus on their Master’s Thesis and Diploma Project, collaborating with a personal tutor to delve into specialized areas within interaction design, creative coding, or AI-driven design.

Projects are diverse, spanning innovative digital interfaces, sustainable interaction design, immersive storytelling for games, and socially responsible interaction design. Each project reflects unique approaches, whether it’s interactive installation design, such as a public space archive that documents media, a web-based tool for immersive exploration of networked media, or a game console crafted from electronic waste to explore sustainable game design practices. Other projects might involve creating an adventure game that guides players through the journey of valuable resources or developing playful, educational toolkits for children. Some students designed beginner-friendly tools for rapid prototyping in virtual and augmented reality, focusing on hands-on prototyping and user-centered design.
