The Cuckoos are at the Dubaï Watch Week

November 2016

15 – 29 November 2016

Is the cuckoo clock still an iconic object only good for folklore and tourists? HEAD – Genève and its students shares a disruptive vision through 24 reinvented and enchanting time machines.

The Swiss cuckoo has always been emblematic of the precise and meticulous work associated with the image of Swiss savoir-faire, while evoking the simplicity of an alpine life preserved from the hazards of progress.

Shattering this established representation, HEAD students directed by Claudio Colucci, a Swiss designer working between Europe and Asia, as well as six world-renown designers come up with the most radical and innovative ideas, opening the way to ingenious, interactive, precious, avant-garde and beautiful projects.
