Atelier semestriel Décors : Funérailles

Semestrial Workshop :  ephemeral practices
Led by Professor Daniel Zamarbide workshop assisted by Aurélie Monet-Kasisi

During the spring semester, the students of the workshop sets : ephemeral practices, had to conceive a burial ritual. It was about burying design, burying the apartment concieved during the first semester, to bury the past for a resurrection. The interest in this ceremony on the workshop had not a religious nature and did not reflect any fascination for mortuary events. Students should focus on the concept of the parade, a funeral ritual intimately linked to the event, developing beyond its processional nature and enriching specific interior spaces. Indeed, interest in the ritual of the funeral which lies in its ability to produce a social and cultural event in which the design and space are of prime importance .
