On March 26, 2026, the Piaget Manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates will host the HEAD – Geneva Piaget Young Talents Award Ceremony, an event that reflects the Maison’s longstanding commitment to emerging designers and the close ties it has built with the school over the years.
This award recognizes the research and creative work developed by second-year Bachelor students as part of a workshop initiated within the Piaget Manufacture, in collaboration with Stéphanie Sivrière, Creative Director of Jewellery and Watchmaking at Piaget, and supervised by David Roux-Fouillet, Head of the Product Design, Jewellery and Accessories programme, together with Valérie Ursenbacher, Head of the Chair in Watch Design at HEAD – Geneva.
For this 2026 edition, the theme is dedicated to watch design and rooted in the world of Piaget Cocktail rings. Students were invited to rethink these emblematic pieces by combining formal research, technical constraints and conceptual reflection, in order to imagine proposals at the intersection of jewellery and watchmaking.
“Piaget Cocktail rings embody the Maison’s boldness, virtuosity and elegance. It is a joy to see such an iconic project reimagined by a younger generation and, this year, through the lens of watch design. This award affirms our desire to foster transmission between tradition and contemporary creation,”
declares Stéphanie Sivrière, Creative Director of Jewellery and Watchmaking at Piaget.
Through this collaboration, students are encouraged to confront their ideas with the reality of a demanding professional environment, in direct contact with the teams and expertise of the Manufacture. This experience fully reflects HEAD – Geneva’s approach, which promotes a pedagogy rooted in practice, research and engagement with professional fields.
“This collaboration with Piaget is a precious journey, a space where thought becomes gesture and where creative boldness meets excellence in craftsmanship. At the heart of the workshops and alongside the Manufacture’s teams, our students see their intuitions take shape, their research become tangible, and their ideas evolve into fully realised projects grounded in the reality of the profession. This experience is deeply aligned with the vision carried by HEAD – Geneva, particularly within the Jewellery and Accessories department and the Chair in Watch Design, where a fertile and demanding dialogue with industry is woven day after day,”
declares Lada Umstätter, Director of HEAD – Genève.
The ceremony on March 26 will be punctuated by presentations of the finalist projects, speeches by representatives of Piaget and HEAD – Genève, the award presentation, and exchanges with the prize winners.
