Katharina Hohmann joined HEAD in 2007 as head of the Construction option. At that time, the workshop was called SCIE (Sculpture, Body, Installation, Space) and was still located in the building on Boulevard Helvétique.
Katharina has chosen to continue her path outside of HEAD after this spring semester of 2025. Over 18 years, more than 220 students have experienced the intense rhythm of Construction, working, travelling, writing, dreaming, and dancing within this large family.

In close collaboration and ongoing dialogue with her colleagues Christian Gonzenbach, Vincent Kohler, Delphine Reist, Ambroise Tièche, and more than ten different assistants over the years, Katharina has consistently offered a multitude of projects, workshops, trips, exchanges, and exhibitions that have shaped the unique identity of this dynamic option.
