Virtual reality promoting inclusivity
We are proud to announce that Peter Ha and Antonin Ricou, Master's students in Media Design and selected for the Top 10 of the Design Preis Schweiz (in the Inclusive Design category), will present their project “Colour to Life” at the 31st edition of GIFF!
“Colour to Life” was developed during the last semester as part of the Possible Bodies workshop of the Master's program in Media Design, in collaboration with the Swiss Paraplegic Group.
This immersive virtual reality experience is designed to support the rehabilitation of people with motor disabilities, using only head movements as a mode of interaction.
Each object observed becomes colored, animated, and emits a soothing sound, gradually transforming the space into a vibrant landscape. Inspired by games such as Where's Wally and paint-by-numbers, it offers a simple, relaxing, and creative experience that encourages discovery, personal expression, and a moment of relaxation during rehabilitation phases.
Once again this year, the 2025 edition of the GIFF trophy, which will be awarded during the awards ceremony, was designed and created by students from the Jewelry, Products, and Accessories Department:
