During the inaugural week in 2023, the Bachelor's students in Product Design, Jewellery and Accessories were involved in designing the new GIFF trophy, which will be awarded at the 30th edition in November 2024.
Under the direction of François Dumas, and in partnership with GIFF, they had to submit models/prototypes, drawings and samples in order to be selected and see their proposal produced for the 2024 and 2025 editions of the festival.
This trophy, awarded each year at the festival's official closing ceremony, must be available in 6 copies, each bearing the name of the winner and the name of the prize:
International competition - les reflets d'or
- Best film
- Best series
- Best immersive experience
Prize of honour
- Geneva Award
- Film & Beyond Award
Other competitions
- Future Is Sensible Award
- European Script Award
The winning entry was inspired by a puzzle made up of six pieces that fit together to form a star, a reference to the stars of the silver screen. It was produced in epoxy resin, with the pattern and coloured swirls inspired by the festival's visual identity.
