Gross Encounters : Two Nights of Frights in collaboration with the Black Movie Film Festival
Gross Encounters is a workshop, festival and film screening club, developed by Reem Saleh and NoamToran. This collaborative and ever-expanding initiative engages with the politics of monstrosity and alienhood hands on, by honoring subaltern and counter-hegemonic sci-fi and horror producers, their fandoms, and their scholars.
This year we are delighted to announce that Gross Encounters has been given carte blanche to host a late-night double bill of screenings as part of the Black Movie Film Festival!
- 24 january, 9:30 til late, Black Movie Film Festival, Les Salons
Join us as we celebrate Indonesian horror and exploitation cinema with a double feature screening of the documentary Suzzanna The Queen of Black Magic (2024) followed by the infamous Sundel Bolong (1981)!
