You are cordially invited to the next edition of ALUM TALK, dedicated to the practice and teaching of interior architecture.
These topics will be explored during discussions on the careers of two prominent Geneva figures in this field: practitioner and educator Jacques-Xavier Aymon and FAS interior designer Michel Buri.

This round table is organized by the Alum—HEAD office, in collaboration with the interior architecture department, alongside the exhibition of the Swiss Interior Architects' Archives (ai-s).

Michel BURI (1938) - Alum 1959, interior architecture
Michel Buri is a museographer and FAS architect, a graduate of the Geneva School of Decorative Arts.
In partnership with Serge Candolfi from 1966 to 1996, he specialized in the harmonious integration of contemporary interventions into existing architectural structures. His practice covers the construction of individual houses and institutional buildings as well as the transformation of listed monuments. He has particularly distinguished himself in the field of museography, becoming a reference thanks to his numerous high-quality achievements. His major projects include his consultancy work for the Fondation de l'Hermitage in Lausanne, various interventions at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Geneva (Liotard exhibition, AMAM room, Cabinet des Estampes), as well as several notable temporary exhibitions at the Musée Rath, which he also transformed in 2008.

Jacques-Xavier AYMON (1944) - Alum 1968, interiorarchitecture
Jacques-Xavier Aymon is an interior designer who graduated from the Geneva School of Decorative Arts and is professor emeritus at HEAD Geneva.
He has divided his career between professional practice and teaching, notably as a workshop leader and professor of interior architecture in Geneva, Lausanne, and at EPFL. Founder of the Espaces Intérieurs firm, he has led numerous projects alongside his academic activities. His work is distinguished by a constant reflection on the pedagogy of space, architectural representation, and the dialogue between design, museography, and heritage. His teaching and research work has been the subject of several publications, including the highly acclaimed DESIGN ET MUSÉOGRAPHIE © ECAL and HEAD Geneva, January 2009.
