Time to Watches

For the second year in a row, the HEAD is associated with TIME TO WATCHES, the new Geneva watch fair. This collaboration between HEAD and Time to Watches is born of a common desire to promote emerging talent in the world of watchmaking and to support innovation and creativity in this constantly evolving field.

From March 28 to April 1, Le Cube will host 35 watchmaking companies, giving HEAD watchmaking students the opportunity to showcase their projects to an audience of watchmaking professionals and the general public.
The students of the HEAD watchmaking chair will present the projects resulting from a workshop based on the Neuchâtel clock led by Vanessa Lecci. With personalities and interpretations as different as they are interesting, the students have proposed one or more modernizations of the famous clock, in a sculptural, technical or humorous way.
The partnership between HEAD-Geneva and Time to Watches allows young aspiring designers to present their innovative creations, with a particular focus on materials and cutting-edge technologies. HEAD-Geneva students benefit from an exceptional showcase for their work, and an opportunity to connect with key players in the watch industry.

During a 4-day workshop, in the Master of Watch Design at the HEAD Geneva and with the help of Vanessa Lecci, the students created objects aiming to give a new life to the Neuchâtel clocks.

With personalities and interpretations as different as they are interesting, the students proposed one or more modernizations of the famous clock, in a sculptural, technical or humorous way. MyWayWatch is an upcycling and customization of traditional Neuchâtel clocks, where classicism meets modernity, where the past meets the present, to give new life to these historic clocks. Vanessa Lecci is an enameling craftswoman based in the canton of Neuchâtel who has been making unique pieces in small series for the watchmaking, jewelry and more generally design products for more than 20 years. Having a particular interest in Neuchâtel clocks, she decided in 2020 to create a new concept: MyWayWatch. Indeed, these timepieces are objects full of history and exceptional know-how.
