We have been delighted to extend an invitation to you for a symposium on game design, hosted by HEAD – Genève.  This event was a continuation of the initial series of talks held in March 2022, focused on the Swiss video game industry. The symposium aimed to delve into the ways in which narrative propels innovation in game design. By employing narratives, tensions, and gameplay, games offer us a lens to comprehend the complexities of our contemporary societies. To thoroughly explore this intriguing theme, the day had been structured around various chapters, each delving into distinct aspects of the role of narrative in video games. This event was organized by Alexia Mathieu, head of Master in Media Design with Delphine Jeanneret, professor in the Cinema Department, and the generous support of the Hasler Foundation .
