Head of the Cinema Department
Its Cinema / Cinema du Réel Department offers a three-year BA programme with two possible majors: editing and directing. The degree focuses on various approaches to film-making (fiction, documentary, essay) and provides students with highly-developed screenwriting and film-making skills (shooting, sound recording and editing). It covers new digital technologies (web cinema, virtual and enhanced reality, cross- and transmedia) and innovative methods in terms of production and distribution and enables students to become acquainted with technical equipment and professional studios (sound mixing and colour correction). The BA programme is furthered by an MA in Cinema organised together with ECAL, which enables students to assert their creative abilities and technical knowledge in film directing and other jobs relating to the film industry.

Head of the Visual Communication Department
The Department hosts 140 students and brings together a team of some 25 teachers as well as a number of international guest lecturers, all active in the field of graphic design, illustration, multimedia technologies and web design as well as video, animation, publishing, typography, photography and layout. Thanks to its high-level technical equipment and specialised staff, the Department favours a project-based approach. As Head of the Visual Communication Department, you will be part of the HEAD – Genève Board of Directors and as such will participate in the development and influence of the whole school.
