Born in 1972 in Hammond, Indiana, Wade Guyton, who lives and works in New York, is one of the most important representatives of a generation of artists who think and produces images in the digital era. Even if some of his works refer to the structure and language of painting in the traditional sense, they radically alter the codes and ways of production. Wade Guyton's paintings are actually made using large inkjet printers in which he passes the canvas several times, a process whose errors and defects are part of the general composition program and ensure uniqueness .
This conference is organized in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art of Geneva on the occasion of the personal exhibiton of Wade Guyton, organized by Nicolas Trembley, guest curator, in collaboration with the Consortium of Dijon, from October 12th 2016 until January 29th 2017.
Press Conference Tuesday, October 11th 2016, 11 am, opening from 6 pm.
