The contemporary art space La Rada (Locarno) presents Dating Greek and Other Beauties, product of the encounter between the work of Stephane Barbier Bouvet and the collection of ancient greek, roman, classical and contemporary sculptures of HEAD - Genève, Geneva School of Art and Design. Through a dialogue between past and present, art and design, sculpture and architecture, Dating Greek and Other Beauties, combines the work of the young French designer based in Brussels and Geneva, and one of most important collections of plaster kept by a school in Europe.
Between unexpected reflections on the exposure codes, experimental design and installation itself, Dating Greek and Other Beauties questions the limits between the functional object and the art object, between art history and a look at the today's museums, between reality, it's reproduction and it's staging.
