The workshop around the theme of “Young Pearls” invites the second year students of the Department of Product Design / Jewellery and Accessories to design a collection which revisits a classic with a fresh perspective. The students are required to do market research and prepare a moodboard that inspires them, before designing a collection of three pieces which feature pearls in an innovative way, developing one final prototype as well as colour renderings.

All pearls for the final prototypes are generously provided by YOKO London and the pieces will be showcased at GemGenève fair 10 - 13 May 2018 in Geneva (Palexpo).
