Workshop - WALL OF FAME
Workshop led by Elsa Audouin and Robin Delerce
Assisted by Kimberley Berney and Valentin Calame
Whether adorned with portraits of celebrities, hunting trophies or sports medals, the “Wall of Fame” displays a collection of artefacts attesting to the glorious adventures of the heroes it honours.
The walls of the “model” rooms of the Department of Interior Architecture become walls to look at, like a cabinet of curiosities displaying fragments, materials, models and drawings from the department.
During this workshop, students were invited to produce supports of various shapes to meet the different storage needs of these rooms. These supports are partly made of reused materials and take various forms, from miniature bookcases to pedestals and soft shelves.
In the end, an important part of the work was the curation of the walls, the choice of objects to be shown and images to be displayed, and the lighting. At the end of the workshop, the walls became modular exhibition surfaces, available to the students of the department.
