Workshop HEAD Fashion Show

June 2019

Studio Leader: Leonid Slonimskiy

Assistant: Bertrand van Dorp

HEAD-Genève’s catwalk show in November is the institution’s most impactful event in terms of media exposure, celebrity attendance and institutional image. In the fall semester of 2019, students of the Bachelor in Interior Architecture designed the scenography for this celebrated event, addressing important issues such as the construction of images, identities and desires in contemporary societies.

Starting with a series of student’s research on the history of fashion shows, the human body, path, filming, backstage, location, audience and fashion paradoxes, the project engages with both local and global dimensions in fashion culture, involving a broad network of practitioners and theoreticians in interior architecture and fashion design.

Project construction: November 2019
