For more than 10 years, no less than 200 projects have been designed and produced by students and alumni of the Interior Architecture Department at HEAD – Genève as part of their studies – each of them having produced countless ideas, images, concepts, graphic gems, plans and texts, seen in Switzerland, Europe and the world, and testifying to a certain vision of the profession and of society.

On the strength of this success and intellectual wealth, the Department sought to publish a book listing, in an unconventional way, the projects that have marked the history of the University. The aim was not to produce a catalogue, reasoned or otherwise, but to go beyond the notion by reinventing the book in terms of both its content and its form.

The idea was therefore to “read between the lines” of what the projects offered and showed, to look at them with the eyes of our times, to formulate them differently, either by manipulating the very matter of the fragments found in the archives or memories, or by reorganising them according to new classifications. To help us in this process, the Visual Communication department of HEAD – Genève assisted us when we put everything down on paper.

The result is a real gem, a manifesto that closes one chapter and opens hundreds more!
