Semester 1 for first-year students begins with the Kick-Off, followed by a long studio project centred on a theme introduced by the teaching team.

The Kick-Off is a short, intensive exercise that takes place over a three-week period. Its aim is to mobilise theoretical knowledge and practical tools acquired during this time in order to analyse an architectural project, whether an architect-designed house or a vernacular dwelling. The challenge is to distil its essence through a model, a text, drawings, sections, and construction details.
