The challenges of scenography are always manifold and inevitably embrace both aesthetic and political questions. With mudac as curator and the precious help of writers, students are invited to think of exhibition scenography on the theme of the train, starting from the script of an airport novel. An initial typological analysis enabled an in-depth study of 45 scenographies produced by artists and architects.

From this rich knowledge and thanks to the simultaneous conception of graphic design documents such as frontal axonometry, model construction and the design of complementary documents such as the storyboard or the exhibition handout, each student imagines an exhibition, regrouping a collection of varied heterogeneous objects with a triple objective: to crystallise the history of the novel in a daring installation, to showcase the works in the best possible light and to succeed in providing viewers with a sensory experience, all within a limited budget and taking into account an ecologically economical construction.
