Street Life - A. Engi Meacock (ASSEMBLE)
One-week workshop led by Anthony Engi Meacok, founding member of ASSEMBLE, a design and architecture collective based in London.
During the inaugural week, all the students of the Department Interior Architecture (all three years together) attended a one-week workshop. The focus of the week was the urban area around Rue du Mont Blanc in Geneva. In groups, students should aim for a site with significant footfall but limited opportunity for people to interact.
Reading the street as a room, student looked for small interventions into the public realm that disrupt and delight, in order to engage the public with the streetscape in new ways. The result had to be built in full-scale and with a limited budget.
