Space Duality : Red Dot 2020 and FRAME Award 2020 Winner

December 2020

The Virtual Reality Installation “Space Duality” has received the internationally renowned Prix Red Dot Award 2020, Brands & Communication Design category, as well as the Frame Innovation Award People Choice 2020.

The project Space Duality was set up as a semester project in the Department of Interior Architecture at HEAD – Genève and took part in the USM Design Grant program.

The installation consists of seven immersive projects that offer a novel and emotional experience related to space. Entering the various VR projects, which were placed inside or on top of specially built pieces of furniture, transfers the viewer into  an unseen environment full of surprises. While some of the projects have an “enchanted” charm about them, others challenge one to redefine what “interior spaces” are in general.

The distinction “Red Dot” has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after seals of quality for good design. The received “Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design” recognises the best brands and creative works of the year selected by well known expert juries. www.red-dot.org

The FRAME Awards are prizes awarded to projects in the field of interior architecture. This event is organized by FRAME magazine in Amsterdam
