Soleil·s: exposition à la Biennale du Soleil 2025, MUDAC
March 2025 to September 2025
For Soleil·s, the new edition of the Biennale du Soleil taking place at the Mudac from 21 March 2025 to 21 September 2025, first-year Master's students in Space & Communication: Design Installation have created seven eschatological dioramas.
Meticulously crafted, each diorama depicts the disappearance of the sun: the spectacle of its vanishing, the privatisation of its light, primordial soup, zero gravity where mutating species wander, the last inhabitants, and more. The realisation of this project revisits the famous Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Death, the crime scene models meticulously constructed in the mid-20th century by Frances Glessner Lee, through which she pioneered forensic science.
Thus, these seven dioramas invite visitors to become investigators, deciphering the scenes that intertwine facts, speculations, dark humour, and predictions.
