For the Heritage Days which took place in September 2022, several departments of HEAD – Genève were involved in a study on the memory of the Charmilles stadium. This building, which was once an important part of the Geneva landscape, has now given way to Parc Hentsch.

The Interior Architecture Department offered a set design composed of several installations inspired by the different elements of the old stadium. The superimposition of the footprint of the old stadium on the current site has resulted in a pitch whose unique shape implies a renewed game, accompanied by its stand. The bleachers hosted various activities: changing rooms, stands, tables, and benches. These temporary installations welcomed visitors and offered them different contents, including the screening of a documentary on the stadium made by the school’s Film Department, an exhibition of outfits made by the Fashion Department, and the sale of a Panini album revisited by the Visual Communication Department.

The aim was to evoke football life through installations that were developed with students and to materialise the collective memory of the place in a playful and contemporary way.
