Opening week - READY RITUALS
A one week Workshop led by Youri Kravchenko, founder of the architectural bureau YKRA (Genève).
During the opening week, every students of Interior Architecture sector, three years combined, participated in a workshop. The intervention zone was located in the city of Geneva. In groups, students had to choose a meaningful place to develop a ritual.
The purpose of the exercise is to think about a known ritual, to re-interpret in order to offer it to the public. Each group chooses a rite, a custom, a souvenir where necessary to swallow a solid, liquid or gaseous. Of course, it is also possible to choose a rite around a mood or theme, or from a product, as long as that the team turns it into a clear and precise ritual.
A daily menu is written and then the last day of the inaugural week, students and teachers roam the different facilities as a typical day, full of rituals and habits.
