Master TRANS– Voyage d'études Barcelone

November 2017

Voyage d’études du Master TRANS–, novembre 2017, Barcelone.

For the autumn semester, the Master TRANS– students left for a study trip in Barcelona from the 16th to the 19th November 2017. This four-day study trip was initiated by an invitation made to the microsillons collective to take part to the MACBA Independent Study Program’s seminary Learning to imagine oneself. On pedagogies and emancipation. Ahead of this encounter, the Master TRANS– students could take part to a series of workshops proposed by Maria Berrios, Valeria Flores et Sofia Olascoaga. Concurrently to the seminary, the study trip was the occasion to meet with local socially engaged art practices actors: with Las Agencias collective, who lead the Yomango shoplifting actions at the beginning of the 2000’s; with the team of La Fundicio, an artists’ cooperative working at the junction of art, education and social involvement; with Javier Rodrigo about his book Desbordar Barcelona. Un relato alternativo de la cultura en la ciudad, which relates the action of groups, entities and individuals who have left their mark on the local cultural history. Finally, the study trip was an occasion for the TOTAL collective to intervene in the Sucursal, a space squatted by the Banc Expropriat project in the Gracia neighborhood.
