Livret d'initiation au graphisme

May 2015 to June 2015

Lead by Aurélien Farina et Sophie Cure

The introductory booklet to graphics was designed by Paper! Tiger (Aurélien Farina) and Sophie Cure for Chaumont Festival graphic design. It is an introduction to the concepts and techniques of typography and graphic design, through a series of games for young and adults.

By this playful way, the reader / player can "learn without understanding", "understandwithout learning how a typeface is it designed? How can we design a logo? What is an Overlay? Etc.

For wide dissemination, including outside the context of the Festival, the booklet can be completed / increased using mediation to collect records on site in the exhibition spaces. This year, the mediation forms were designed and produced by a group of students from the HEAD, 1st year (Visual Communication) and graphic design LSS Lycée Charles de Gaulle Chaumont, in the framework of a workshop 4 days led by Aurélien Farina and Sophie Cure. On the model of the proposed activities in the booklet, the students had to imagine one or more game (s) from the exhibitions of the Festival, they were able to visit a preview. A series of 12 records were designed and printed on site using a Riso machine combining various games inviting viewers to take a different look at the exhibits, as well as the scenic devices: treasure map , posters to complete, chase the intruder, etc.
