LISTENING SCULPTURE

May 2022

Listening Sculpture is a public space installation commissioned by the United Nations. It represents the international institution as a body that listens to human beings. It consists of a parabolic mirror that amplifies the oral messages that people around the world address to the UN.

The Interior Architecture Department designed and produced the sculpture, which will be installed in the galleries of the United Nations Secretariat building in New York. It consists of 193 pieces, corresponding to the number of UN member states. The wooden planks used are leftover materials from the school's wood workshop.
