Reinas (2024, Switzerland/Peru/Spain, 110'):
Summer 1992 in Lima. Lucía, Aurora and their mother Elena are preparing to leave their country. They are apprehensive about saying goodbye to their loved ones, and especially to Carlos, a father and ex-husband who has all but disappeared from their lives. In the midst of the social and political chaos reigning in Peru at the time, this announced exile gives rise to contradictory feelings, reviving old regrets and generating new illusions. The future is steeped in uncertainty. In a maelstrom of hope, fear, frustration and expectation, Lucía, Aurora and Elena are forced to confront all that leaving implies.
