The Theory and Practice of Construction course combines theoretical instruction, focused on the fundamental principles of construction, materials, and assembly methods, with hands-on practical application. During the first semester, students design, build, and use an everyday object: a stool, conceived as a full-scale (1:1) experimental support.

The object fits within a volume of 33 × 33 × 44 cm and was made this year exclusively from reclaimed materials, encouraging reflection on use, form, materiality, and construction, while developing a responsible approach based on reuse and repurposing.

From concept to fabrication, this project introduces students to a complete design process, attentive to existing resources and the realities of construction.
