Contextual design

February 2015 to June 2015

Biannual workshop led by Albert Schrurs attended workshop teacher Gaspar Reverdin

The workshop is oriented to the relationship to the context in which a project is registered, as indeed any project has a context. For this workshop, context is the starting point, he is behind the project. Typical approach from the world of Architects, which often begins with the project site, however, is not a standard approach to industrial designers, which usually occur in series of objects that can be integrated in many contexts. By then question is to think of design as architecture and is getting the student to provoke emotion by its dialogue with the project site. it is asked the student to develop a working method of its own, signing a project in line with his personal universe. For the spring semester 2015, the context given to the students was the City Hall of Geneva.
